What do you like about the change in season?
Whether you’re a lover of summer or enjoy chilling in the winter, you’re wasting your time lecturing Mother Nature. She’s gong to do what she always does.
It’s the same in life. Some yell at culture. “Why can’t life be the way it used to be?”
There’s a woman who is stuck in the fifties. She loves do op music, the hairstyles, and everything associated with the “We like Ike” era. If you want to meet her, go to an oldie’s concert and look at the front row. She’ll be adoring men in their eighties singing teenage songs.
You might think that extreme. However, many wrestle with God about the changes in their lives and get stuck in a cycle of complaint with The Almighty.
God is pretty compassionate. He waits it out.
He figures summer-lovers will eventually appreciate the color of the autumn leaves instead of fixating on them falling.
PORTAL TO HEAVEN: It may strain us to give in to change, but there is a harvest there somewhere.
