"The Metaphor Man"

I love people. I live to inspire. I help people hear.

Through my three decades in hearing health, I learned that hearing loss can happen in the natural AND supernatural. However, just as our body’s hearing impairment can be helped with hearing aids, so can our spirit receive training in using our senses to experience God’s love. Through knowledge, tools and assistance, we can learn to hear God and be directed in a way that will change our lives and those around us while giving us that wonderful security that we are not alone.

I’m known as the “Metaphor Man” and my writing will teach you how to use what I term the “metaphor-du-jour; little hints right before our eyes that prove God is near…even within.

Hear’s to you.

This site will help train your senses to awaken...

God is forever trying to wake us up to his goodness which is evident in people, nature and just about anything around you and happening to you.

With every sunrise, God gives a second chance. Today can be different than yesterday.

Do you need a second chance?

Read some of the inspiring devotional blogs here called Portals to Heaven. They teach us how to use our senses to sense God's presence in-the-now. They are published weekly on this site, but daily through email. Sign up for these free tools here. You can also pick up a paperback edition of Portals To Heaven through our Store.

All of the content on our site, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube Channel, social media outlets and resources from our store are meant to steer you to God.  "The King's Favorite Book Story Journal," for example, will inspire you to speak to God on a one-to-one basis through the time-tested discipline (I call it "fun") of journaling. Speaking of hearing God, check out our E-Book.

About Christianity...

Christianity is often misunderstood. Jesus is lumped into somebody’s box. That’s ridiculous. God is out of the box! Scripture tells us that his ways and thoughts are higher than ours. If God fits in someone’s box, they have a god made in their own image and that’s one tiny god.

Here’s something to think about before you go into your final box: Jesus came to save and not to condemn. Check it out for yourself:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world

through him.”

-The Gospel of John, Chapter 3, Verse 16 & 17.

That’s why the word "gospel" in the Greek language is translated in English as “good news.”

Good news. We all need that.
