Looking for something for which to be thankful in all situations, including that which feels awful, is a bit different than knowing how to see something in-the-now that spurs gratitude.
By practicing the spotting of portals to heaven, we get a knack for seeing the very hand of God in most any situation.
Unfortunately for any of us who resist being thankful in all circumstances, we run up against a scriptural command. So, rather than fight it, we must develop a spiritual habit of giving thanks all of the time.
In the extreme, we might ask, “Did Jesus give thanks while He was hanging on a cross?” One thing is for certain, He did have one eye on the victory that his pain would bring forth.
During any given moment, it behooves us to Google-like-search a reason to be thankful. You may be surprised at how many pages show up.
