Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me, and just as I said to the Jews, so now I also say to you: Where I am going you cannot come. A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:33-35 ESV
Last Sunday was pretty cool. The youth at the church where I'm the interim pastor led the worship service. And it was amazing! You could feel the presence of God. The congregation's response was genuine. The service was powerful from the worship of song to the worship of the word.
Noah Tindale, a high school senior this coming fall, brought the message. It was about unity.
“Jesus wants us to be ONE TOGETHER,” Noah said. “Why together? - So God’s love is shown to the world. Unified love shows God’s love for the world.”
Coming off of Sunday, I'm very encouraged. These kids get it. They're looking to live out this commandment of Jesus. They are caring for each other and sharing their faith with other kids.
I know it's been said that every awakening begins with the youth. Watching these kids Sunday, we may be on the brink of another awakening.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for working through the youth on Sunday. You are so good! Lord may we learn from these kids example and follow Your word and Your example. Lord may unbelievers everywhere be drawn to You as they witness is us Your true followers!
