God's Growth Chart & Those Close To Me

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:12-13

I need to be honest, this has been a difficult week. It is one thing to look scripture and see areas where you have grown. But it’s totally different when you look into the “perfect law of liberty” (James 1:25) and the Holy Spirit shows you areas for growth. It’s been that kind of a week.

One thing I’m thankful for is others who stand with you and encourage you along the way. I give thanks to God for giving me many friends who have stood close (Proverbs 18:24) to me over the years. I realize that although it was God who has caused the increase in me, it has often been through those close to me where God has brought transformation into my life.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit we are grateful that you fill us, lead and guide us, encourage us and also confront us. Lord we thank you for unity and how through one another you draw us deeper. You are so good! Thank you Jesus!
