Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore. Psalm 133:1 & 3
So, a Baptist, an Evangelical, a Wesleyan, a Calvinist, an Assemblies of God, a Lieutenant in the Salvation Army and a Methodist enter a room for prayer.
I know it sounds like the beginning of a joke. But this was no joke! This is more like a recipe, a list of ingredients, for God’s commanded blessing!
This was a meeting in Gloversville, New York, where 13 pastors gather together to pray on Thursdays.
It was truly a privilege for me to be there with these men. They humbled themselves, shared some joys, shared some sorrows and prayed together. I ask you to join with these pastors and their congregations to pray for an awakening in the Gloversville region. Pray for these men as they are planning a joint Good Friday Service.
Prayer: Lord, we would love to be a part of a community of believers who live together in such a way that You would command a blessing of life forevermore. Lord, we ask you to move in Gloversville and in each of our communities that there would be a present day Great Awakening in Your Church. Lord, we thank You for who we are in You, Your children, brothers and sisters. May we bless you in the way we live our lives! May our lives, our works and our prayers be a blessing to our communities.
