The Weight of Evidence

13,170,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 pounds.


That’s the weight of the earth.


Why doesn’t it sink or drop into a black void? I have a hard enough time hanging a picture on a wall or holding myself up by 9 p.m.


We take for granted that a plane won’t fall out of the sky while we’re on it, but even our flights get bounced around by turbulence. Have you ever experienced the earth having a bad day…bumping you around a bit?


I don’t know how 13,170,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 pounds doesn’t just drop like a lead zeppelin, but God does.


Perhaps that’s why we should let him carry the weight of the world on his shoulders.
