“The Italian Goodbye”

There are plenty of chuckles when it comes to goodbyes.


You know you’re afflicted with this condition when your spouse comes up behind you and whispers, “Honey, you’ve already said ‘Goodbye’ to them a couple of times.


What is it that makes me not want to leave when I’m being pulled by my shirt by the patient saint near the doorway?


I like company. There’s always more to say and finish that thought that seemed timely and apropos.


When I finally give in and enter the deafening silence of my car and begin to drive off, I still can’t resist just one more attempt at a goodbye…I beep.


PORTAL TO HEAVEN: God likes company or else he wouldn’t have created earth nor heaven.
