The Child & The Trust Fund

See Christmas through the eyes of a child.

It’s within your means to give him the gift of a lifetime. What will it be?

A toy truck? A scooter? The latest video game? The things that he asks for? Turn him into a trust-fund baby?

While all of these things may serve as nice, appropriate or even generous, they pale in comparison to giving him “Christmas” and all that comes with the incarnation.

To seed into a child that God would come as a child is portal that is easier for him to understand than it is for adults to comprehend.

When that child grows and does all those “naughty” things, he won’t be hearing about coal in his stockings, but rather being “shod the feet with the readiness of the gospel of peace” because of the little baby known as “The Prince of Peace.”

That’s a “trust”-fund that keeps on giving.

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: The gifts say a lot about the gift giver.

Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be…How beautiful your sandaled feet, O prince’s daughter! Your graceful legs are like jewels, the work of an artist’s hands.…The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. Deuteronomy 33:25 KJV, Song of Solomon 7:1 NIV, Habakkuk 3:19 NIV
