Missing The Forest Through The Media

I had admired this church for decades and I finally found myself in their city and there we were.

I was drawn to the mega screen of this mega church. Was it because I had only seen them on television or YouTube?

It was silly. Why would I watch a screen when the real worship team and speakers were in front of me? I actually had to concentrate to deliberately be a participant in the live service.

It’s often the same thing with my phone. I’ll take a photo and miss the event live.

All of this had broader implications with regard to settling for media of all kinds.

It makes one wonder if the disciples ever got so involved with the crowds and ministries and side-shows and missed Jesus right in front of them.

It can happen to anyone.

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: Portals placed right in front of us may be the easiest to miss if we are not intentional about noticing His loving hints.

Few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Luke 10:42 NIV
