Call the timing of my visions of heaven “Corona Chimera,” but springtime is how I envision heaven eternally. Birds singing, flowers blooming, scents wafting and temperatures that all can agree to…
When the time comes, I’ll ask Adam and Eve if the Garden of Eden refused the other three seasons.
For now, it’s “Corona Current” and I can only dream about springtime’s bloom being the ultimate metaphor for the resurrection of everything from our health to our minds and ultimately, our spirits.
It's only a preview of heaven currently, but one great hope of spring are the cherry blossoms. Washington D.C.’s trees have long overshadowed a park in Newark, New Jersey that has seen everything from racial disturbances to the festivities called the Cherry Blossom Festival.
Branch Brook Park boasts some of the loveliest scenes you can imagine every April. Corona closed it.
But Essex County is ingeniously using webcam technology to give us a window into different views of the park and promised that 2021 would be worth waiting for.
Whether you’re simply enmeshed in getting past the Corona drama or looking forward to heaven when there will be “no more death or mourning or crying or pain” (Revelation 21:4 NIV), Branch Brook Park’s webcam welcomes a season that speaks to either or both.
PORTAL TO HEAVEN: The webcam opens up literal contemporary and eternal portals. Are you looking for them?
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away… He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
Revelation 21:4,5 NIV
