Due East and Speeding Like A Train

There was a dark blanket over The United States as COVID and riots shook the soul of the nation while some tried to “capture” federal buildings.

The latter was a metaphor for the psyche of people I observed all over the place.

It was even easy to notice shoulders slumping as customers walked separately from their cars to Marshalls and Bed, Bath & Beyond. The crisis appeared in control. Just how dark could it get?

It was during one of these early mornings in the pitch black that I pulled out the guitar and began worshipping toward The Morning Star - due east at the time. It was my fixed point of reference; as if acting as a proxy for Jesus who is also known as “The Morning Star” or the “Darkest-Before-Dawn Savior.”

This one brilliant light seemed as if it were speeding exactly to me. Yes, come Lord Jesus.

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: By contrast to the death that surrounds us and the promised date that the grave has with me, Jesus shines all the brighter.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it…I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.”…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 1:5 NIV, Revelation 22:16 NIV, John 18:12 KJV
