When you see the next Christmas advertisement or sign declaring “70% off,” believe it! Christmas is actually more than 70% off. It’s so far off now that many Christians aren’t even noticing what the original price tag was for God. First, He gives his Son to us in a wooden cradle and then to a wooden cross.
But is that what we really celebrate? We’ve traded rough-cut wood for slippery smooth plastic. Alas, we bring into our homes and churches that red-robed robber-baron known as Santa who has made himself fat by stealing the riches of honor that belong to Jesus alone.
PORTAL TO HEAVEN: We all need to ask what holiday we’ve bought for Christmas. It could be telling of what we’ve purchased the other eleven months.
For many imposters (seducers, deceivers, and false leaders) have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge (confess, admit) the coming of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) in bodily form.
