Advent's Oxymoron

Could there be any more of an oxymoron than the lighting of Advent’s second candle of “peace.”

The Christmas season brings on many emotions. But peace?

There will celebrations, parties, visitors, travel, uncomfortable social situations and possibly even some financial burdens.

For some who are now separated from loved ones, there will be loneliness and tears.

But peace?

We light the candle anyway.
