Imaginings Turn the Small into the Tall

SEE COMMENTS BELOW:

I studied the little black dot on my bathroom counter. I turned on every light. I got the magnifying glass out.

This tiny perfect black ball had fallen out of my hair.

The backstory of my concern is that ticks are the most bedeviling, paranoia-producing little black “dots” you’ll ever know. This is especially true when they get into your hair. Before you know it, you’re picking at a bump on your scalp that was nearly impossible to detect at first.

And then the dreaded thought: lyme disease is in my future!

As I got a lot of light on the subject and felt and squeezed the black ball, I literally scratched my head...only to find another black bead dropping onto the counter.

I looked at this perplexing and prospectively dangerous minuscule particle and suddenly realized that it was plastic. Glancing up the counter, I noticed my hairbrush.

Sure enough, the black balls were from the end of the strands of my brush.

It was just like life. I had made something so tiny so BIG.

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: It’s amazing that we can allow the smallest thoughts and concerns grow so large that they screen our view of the portals of God’s care for us.

we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ…Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

2 Corinthians 10:5, Matthew 6:27

COMMENTS:

Our lives are already planned out . God has the blueprint and the final product . I've learned throughout my years that as anxious and concerned I am about any given situation God already has it taken care of . When I continue to focus and fixate on situations I'm missing out on the present . It's difficult because we are human beings that like to have it all figured out, but we spend more time changing the plan.

Love Philippians 4:6! No better place to lay our burdens then at His feet! He truly knows best-
