We Are Raised With Him!

Renewal Prayer Network Executive Director Pastor Jay Richmond

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11

Here it is the Saturday between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday - the day between our only hope – Jesus' death on the cross and the day our only Hope was resurrected by the Holy Spirit. This is what I find amazing.

The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave also lives in those of us whom God has drawn to Himself. This same Spirit gave eternal life to us.

Now through this same Spirit, we, although vastly different, have unity with one another because we have the same Father.

I was thinking about this while praying on Tuesday with some pastors from Amsterdam, New York. Each of us serve in different types of congregations but had a real love for each other. What unites us is the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Today, I’m thankful for God the Father for giving us His Son to be our Redeemer. I’m thankful for God the Son for dying on the cross paying the price for our sin. And I am thankful for God the Holy Spirit raising Jesus from the dead and giving us eternal life.

Prayer: THANK YOU, GOD!!!
