Carrying the presents of Christmas is awkward when the door is locked or you have to go up stairs or around a tight bend in a hallway.

These presents can take us galaxies away from Christ's presence - especially when the dropped package was fragile.
Unfortunately, Christmas can become the most disguised holiday.
The morning-after comes and it is quiet and this is a good thing.
“Messiah”, the kid’s play, the sermons, Advent wreathe devotions, acts of service, candlelight church celebrations, caroling and so many of the traditions can be added as “props” if we’re not careful.
So, the morning-after becomes a sacred time along the lines of “Silent Night.” Perhaps a “Silent Morning” should be written in its honor?
The days and weeks after Christmas do grow more silent for many and that can cause a let-down after such a surge of activity and blessings. Yet, these times are also a perfect set-up for pondering upon the past year and the year ahead.

It was a time for pondering.
As I sit in the quiet of my living room looking up at the Christmas tree and the nativity set on the mantle, I find myself pondering how, like Mary and Joseph, I am to carry the presence of Christ. PORTAL TO HEAVEN: The presents of Christ are what we carry when we have the presence of Christ. Will many come to worship Christ as a result of the way I carry myself?
